Biology and Human Biology
The study pages listed below include topics that are about human biology or about more general aspects of biology with particular application (incl. examples etc.) to humans. Many of these topics are also useful for students of animal biology more generally.
Pages about plant biology are not listed below unless they are relevant to human biology e.g. re. differences between plant and animal cells, ecology and the environment (also inhabited by humans) and plants as sources of human and animal foods.
Human anatomy and physiology is often part of human biology courses. It includes information about the structure and functions of tissue types, organs of the body e.g. lungs, stomach, kidneys, etc., and body systems e.g. respiratory system, digestive system, genito-urinary system, etc.. Pages about these topics are not listed below but on the page about human anatomy and physiology. At the moment the following includes pages about diet and nutrition. This section is in development: It does not yet cover all A-Level Human Biology topics.
