Therapies
The "Therapies" Section of this website is for
general information only.
Links lead to pages of information, photographs, and links to sources
of further information.
In many cases, these pages have been written by qualified
practitioners of the treatments described. Nevertheless,
visitors are strongly advised to consult a qualified practitioner
in person concerning the suitability of treatments for their
particular case.
Finding Practitioners in your Area:
For information about Therapists practising in the UK click
here.
(This will take you to our listings of therapists under each treatment
category - leading to their individual webpages of detailed information
for clients.)
Also, in the cases of most of the therapies listed in these pages there
are one or more Associations that :
| |
 |
Regulate and approve the training of practitioners;
|
| |
 |
Offer appropriate insurance for fully qualified practitioners;
|
| |
 |
Represent the interests of the therapy and its users
to government agencies and others, and
|
| |
 |
Make information about their members available to
the general public.
|
Links to these organisations are included at the bottom
of the page about the relevant therapy. Apart from requesting
referral to a practitioner from one of the Associations representing
a therapy, another good way to find a practitioner is by
personal recommendation: - Ask your friends !
Remember:- Always, check that your therapist is qualified and insured to
provide the treatment you receive.
Finding Training Courses:
Where possible, links to organisations that offer training
in the therapies described are included at the bottom of
the relevant pages.
