Six of Cups

The Tarot Suit of Cups

The "Sixes" in the Tarot Deck reflect the fact that six is located at the centre of the Kabbalist Tree of Life - which implies harmony and communication.

In the case of the Six of Cups, many traditional decks depict images of children enjoying a positive childhood in an affluent setting surrounded by flowers and rich symbolism. Some writers refer to these children (usually male and female) as two childlike aspects of ourselves. This is a joyous card.

The Six of Cups may bring us many small promptings, and positive reminders: To appreciate all the small joys in our situation (take time to smell the flowers !); view the situation from an optimistic, almost child-like perspective - don't be cynical; and listen to your child within.
