Fungicidal

The term fungicidal refers to therapeutic agents (e.g. natural substances such as herbs, oils, or essences, or conventional pharmaceutical drugs) that kills/destroys fungal infections. Some text describe the action of fungicidal agents as "combating or preventing" fungal infections.

The meaning of the term fungicidal is easily remembered from its form:
The -cidal part of the word refers to the fact that this agent kills/destroys something, and
the fungi- part of the word indicates that the something it kills is "fungi".

Note that another term whose meaning is the same as fungicidal is antifungal.
