Telangiectasis

Telangiectasis (the singular noun) is a localized group of distended blood capillary vessels.

It appears as a red spot that may look spidery and that blanches when pressure is applied directly to the telangiectasis. However - if you are concerned about a skin condition do not start applying pressure to it. Instead, begin by seeking expert medical advice.
(Plural: Telangiectases.)

Telangiectasis is included in this section because it is a type of skin lesion. These are required study for many courses in aspects of health and holistic therapies, especially bodywork therapies.
