The term Choroidal Detachment refers
to
the seperation of the choroid from
the sclera
(within
the eyeball)
due to leakage of fluid from vessels within the choroid.
This may occur in when the pressure inside the eyeball ("ocular pressure")
is very low - for example, after a trauma such as an accident or injury
to the eye, or following surgical procedures within the eyeball.
