The Vomer is a single bone which is one
of the facial
bones of the head. It is a small flat bone that is approximately
triangular in shape. It is often difficult to illustrate clearly inn
diagrams due to its small size.
Location:
The vomer is a thin roughly triangular plate of bone on the floor of the
nasal cavity and part of the nasal septum. It is therefore in the centre
of the front of the face.
Function(s):
Separates the nasal cavities into left and right sides.
