Innominate artery

The innominate artery is also known as the "brachiocephalic artery".
It is a short artery that begins as the first large branch of the aortic arch, passes upwards towards the right, then terminates at the lower neck near to the right sternoclavicular joint.

At the lower neck the innominate artery divides into the right common carotid artery and the right subclavian artery.
