Subclavian artery

The subclavian artery is a term that may refer to either of two arteries that supply oxygenated blood to the neck and arms.

The right subclavian artery branches from the innominate artery opposite the right sterno-clavicular articulation.
The left subclavian artery arises from the aortic arch.
