Malachite is a naturally occurring gemstone
that ranges in colour from light to dark green and has a monoclinic crystal
structure. Cheminally, it is a minor ore of copper and is therefore not a
form of quartz. (Many of the most popular crystals and gemstones such

quartz and others are forms of quartz,
which is a form of Silicon Dioxide.) Malachite is a
