Vitrectomy

A Vitrectomy is an ophthalmic procedure to remove (all or part of) the vitreous humour of the eye.

A Vitrectomy may be necessary as part of surgical procedures to treat problems at the back of the eye. Situations in which a vitrectomy may be appropriate include

among other conditions of the eye.
