Here's to Corn Salsa !
One great thing about this fun recipe demo is its simplicity. There is no voiceover, just cheerful music and short text descriptions of each step. There are not even very many steps to making this corn salsa, though we suspect that at least as much time and effort went into preparing the ingredients which are so conveniently ready in small bowls at the beginning of the video clip. Not only does this make the recipe seem even easier (!) but it also guarantees a wide range of colours throughout the demo and especially in the resulting corn salsa.
Ingredients for Corn Salsa
4 ears of corn, cooked, kernels cut
1/2 medium red onion, diced
1/2 red bell pepper, diced
1 jalapeno, seeded & diced
1/4 cup lime juice
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup honey
salt (to taste)
This great little inspiring demo starts with a list of ingredients so you can watch for inspiration then plan ahead to have everything ready when you watch it again and have a go yourself.
The serving suggestion mentioned at the end is to serve over chicken, pork or fish. We'd like to add to that list the possibility of enjoying this corn salsa with your choice of vegetarian main such as quorn or beanburgers.
No special gadgets or kitchen equipment is necessary to follow this recipe.
The equipment used consists mainly of small glass bowls, one large mixing bowl and a wooden spoon. However, appropriate kitchen knives must have been used to prepare the ingredients, for example to dice the onion and pepper.
Vegetarian, not Vegan (because of the honey).
