More
information about Pat Russell:

|
Pat
is an experienced Holistic Therapist and teacher who
specialises in treating trauma, anxiety and stress
using Bach Flower Therapy and/or Aromatherapy to aid
clients in their recovery, with breathing techniques,
colour and guided imagery if appropriate. She graduated
as a Clinical Aromatherapist in 1997, and has since
continued to develop her expertise in various areas
of complementary medicine.
As
an Aromatherapist she became very aware of the 'subtle'
use of essential oils, i.e., the effect that a tiny
drop of oil could have when used discreetly in the
treatment room or by client inhalation.
This
led her to research the vibrational healing of plants
and Dr Bach's work, which reflected her own philosophy
on healing. Eventually she trained as a Bach Practitioner
at Mount Vernon
the home of Dr Bach, which still produces the Mother
tinctures today.
She uses this system of healing to support her work
as an Aromatherapist blending essential oils and flower
remedies together in massage, topical lotions etc.,
as well as treating clients solely with the Bach Remedies.

Information
about Bach Flower Therapy with
Pat Russell :
|
| What
are the flower remedies?
These
gentle flower essences are used world-wide, their purpose
is to support the patient's fight against illness by
addressing emotional factors like depression, anxiety
and trauma that are thought to impede physical healing.
They can also be used preventatively, at times of anxiety
and stress, and are particularly helpful for the many
people who feel generally tired and unwell without a
specific medical diagnosis.
|
| How
do they work?
The
flower remedies, like other forms of natural medicine,
take effect by treating the individual, not the disease.
They work specifically on the emotional conditions of
the person concerned. Thus, two people with the same
symptoms, may benefit from quite different remedies.
The
effect of taking the remedies is not to suppress negative
attitudes but to transform them into positive ones,
stimulating the potential for self -healing and freeing
the physical system to engage fully in fighting disease
and stress.
|
| Are
they safe:
The
remedies may be taken on their own or in conjunction
with medical or other treatments: they will not conflict
with any medication. The remedies are completely safe,
have no unwanted side effects and are non-addictive.
They are gentle in action and can safely be taken by
people of all ages from new born babies to elderly people.
|
| How
long will I have to take them?
There
is no stipulated time for taking the remedies, some
people may find that one bottle is sufficient. Others
may need to take them on a long term basis.
|
| What
happens during a consultation?
You
will be able to discuss with your practitioner how you
are feeling, but it is not necessary to give very personal
information if you do not feel able to do so. The emotions
you are experiencing at the time e.g., anger, fear,
grief, anxiety etc., are all your practitioner needs
to know. The consultation will last for approximately
one hour.
Your
practitioner will then suggest a blend of suitable remedies
for you, after discussing them with you.

|
| How
do I take the remedies?
The
remedies will be mixed in a 30 ml dropper bottle. You
should take 4 drops 4 times a day, this amount will
last you approximately 3 weeks. It is however, perfectly
safe to take more per day if you feel you need them.
|
| What
happens next?
You
will be able to contact your Practitioner if you feel
things have changed and other emotions have been brought
to the surface. Your remedy can be changed or other
remedies added to your prescription. If you need to
carry on taking the remedies for a period of time, you
will be able to repeat your prescription as and when
it is necessary.
|
| Will
I need a full consultation each time I repeat my remedy?
No,
it will only be necessary to have another full consultation
if you feel that the situation has changed considerably,
and you need to discuss this with your Practitioner.
|
| Do
I have to pay for the remedies each time?
The
cost of the first consultation will include remedies
for the first two months. After that time a remedy bottle
will cost £5.00
(See current price list for consultation cost)
If
a remedy is given on a first aid basis, i.e, no full
consultation is necessary the cost of the remedy will
be £5.00.
If
the Practitioner needs to spend a short time over the
telephone or in the clinic to
prescribe a remedy the cost will be £10.00.
|
| What
Clients have said about the remedies?
"The
Bach Remedies have lifted me out of a depression which
has lasted over 30 years. I have tried so many other
conventional drugs, I am a totally different person"
T.W. Tyne & Wear.
"I
am coping with a situation which has distressed me for
a long time, I cannot change the situation but I am
able to deal with it in a much more calm and reasonable
manner, consequently my personal relationships and my
health have improved " S.G. Northumberland

Clinical
Aromatherapy
with Pat Russell : |
Clinical
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy
is the art of combining pure essential oils (natural plant
extracts) for use in various therapeutic ways. After an initial
consultation the therapist will decide what combination of
oils will best help the individual person. Most often the
oils will be applied by therapeutic massage, but often compresses,
inhalations, creams, lotions or possible vapourisation and
bathing are recommended where necessary. Aromatherapy endeavours
to promote the balance of mind, body and spirit of each individual.
Most people will find that they enjoy very deep relaxation
during the treatment, this together with the action of the
essential oils can be most beneficial for stress and emotionally
related illnesses, e.g. muscle tension, headaches, anxiety,
insomnia etc., It is a safe and natural way to care for your
health or to help the body after illness.

Indian
Head Massage with
Pat
Russell :
|
Indian
Head Massage
Indian
Head Massage or Champissage, is a wonderfully relaxing therapy
based on the ancient Ayurvedic system. It has been practised
over India for over a thousand years.
This
therapy works intensively on the physical and subtle energies
of the three higher charkas of the body. This has a powerful
effect and can bring the energy of the whole body back into
balance. Working on the shoulders, neck, face and scalp it
is highly beneficial for relieving stress and tension and
in the gentle treatment of headaches, migraine and eye strain.
Using
a low dilution of essential oils with this treatment so that
the client experiences the inhalation of the oils, not only
enhances the treatment but gives a feeling of true relaxation
and well being.

Lymphatic
Drainage
Massage with
Pat Russell : |
Lymphatic
Drainage Massage
This
therapy stimulates the lymphatic part of the immune system,
which needs to be working as efficiently as possible to maintain
good health. Unlike any other form of massage Lymphatic Drainage
is based on touch and delicate scooping, pumping movements
which encourage the 'flow' of lymph throughout the body. Although
the stoke feels incredibly light this subtle technique encouragse
the disposal of waste matter. A lymphatic system in need of
treatment can show itself through illness, sluggishness, puffiness,
fluid retention, lowered resistance to illness, stress etc.,
It is a therapy which can be useful in giving the body a 'kick'
start after long periods of immobilisation or hospitalisation.
The
addition of appropriate essential oils to the massage oil
enhance the treatment e.g., diuretic oils can be used for
fluid retention, aiding the elimination of toxins from the
body.
