My name is Isabelle, I am a member of the
Federation of Holistic Therapists and the International
Council of Holistic Therapists.
I am a fully insured practitioner of both therapies that I specialise in - Indian
Head Massage and Thermal Auricular Therapy (also known as Hopi Ear Candles) I
treat clients at a therapy center called 'Changes' in central Bristol.
I am available at Changes on Saturdays 1pm - 5pm.
I also offer a mobile service where clients can enjoy the treatment in
the
comfort of their own home.
I have always been interested in massage therapy,
and have seen the benefits myself. For four and
a half years I have worked at a computer in an
office, where we used to have massage therapists
visit to give treatments for the employees. I
found that these regular treatments really relaxed
me and made me feel more alert and less stressed.
Evening and weekend appointments are available. Please note that all new clients
booking their first appointment are seen at Changes unless agreed otherwise. |

Head Massage
Indian head massage can
help to relax, soothe or invigorate the receiver. It
is a treatment that involves the therapist using their
hands to knead, rub and squeeze the muscles on the
upper back, upper arms, shoulders, neck, scalp and
face.

Indian head massage is a safe, simple and yet effective
therapy. It is not only relaxing and enjoyable, but
also induces a feeling of well-being and calm and helps
to re-balance the body, sharpen the mind and improve
concentration.
When carried out on a regular basis, Indian
head massage is renowned for helping to relieve stress, anxiety,
depression and mental tension. Regular Head massage
also stimulates the circulation to the hair follicles
which can help to maintain healthy hair.

Ear Candles

Hopi Ear Candle, also known as 'Thermal Auricular Therapy'
is an extremely comforting, relaxing and beneficial treatment.
The therapist inserts a large hollow candle into the
clients ear while the client lies on his/her side. The
candle acts as a chimney and the vibration of the air
rising up through the candle, and the natural movement
of the flame gently massages the eardrum.
A warm swirling current of air and a light vacuum occurs
which 'dries up' any moisture. This takes approximately
10-15 minutes per candle / ear. After the actual burning
of the candles the client receives a full face massage.
