Sudorific

The term sudorific is sometimes used to refer to therapeutic agents (e.g. natural substances such as herbs or oils, or pharmaceutical drugs) that cause sweating. Another term used to refer to the same property is diaphoretic.

The term "sudorific" still appears in many older texts but is gradually being replaced by the term "diaphoretic" in modern medical textbooks.
