Rosemary Essential Oil

Rosemary is one of many (scented) essential oils used in aromatherapy.
Essential oils are generally used in very small quantities, e.g. measured as a small number of drops of the essential oil in a larger quantity of an appropriate carrier oil.

Method of Extraction:

Steam distillation (of fresh flowering tops - or the whole plant, the latter resulting in poorer quality essential oil).

Main Constituents:

pinenes, camphene, limonene, cineol, borneal, camphor, linalol, terpineol, octanone, bornyl, acetate.

From:

Main oil-producing countries - France, Spain, Tunisia.

- Avoid in pregnancy and in cases of high blood pressure and epilepsy. -
