| Paediatrics is the medical
specialty concerned with the general medicine of childhood.
Working with and treating children with injuries or medical conditions
can require special skills and approaches, including psychological factors,
family issues, management of disabilities, social conditions and relationships
with other organisations such as schools and support groups. (Not all
of these factors will be relevant to every case but these are general
examples to indicate the broad scope of paediatrics.)
