Obstructive Jaundice is a particular form of jaundice
(whose general definition is concerns yellowing of the skin or the
whites
of the eyes,
indicating excess bilirubin which is a bile
pigment in the blood.)
Causes of obstructive jaundice:
Obstructive jaundice happens when bile made in the
liver
fails to reach the intestines
due to obstruction of the bile ducts. Such obstruction may be due to
gall stones or to cholestasis.
Symptoms & Effects of obstructive jaundice
may include:
- Dark Urine
- Pale Faeces
- Itching

jaundice and haemolytic
jaundice.
