Moonstone is a naturally occurring
gemstone that ranges in colour from white to cream / beige through to
colourless and has a monoclinic
crystal structure. It is found in many locations
worldwide, including: India, Sri Lanka and Australia.
Moonstone is a popular crystal that is common in crystal
collections and among crystal / energy healers and those interested in "New
Age" and pagan subjects. In these contexts it is especially respected
for its association with the moon, intuition, "new beginnings", and contemplation
on the waxing and waning of emotions (as well as the moon). It is sometimes
worn as a pendant to encourage acceptance of the wearer's psychic abilities.
