Lime Essential Oil

Lime is one of many (scented) essential oils used in aromatherapy.
Essential oils are generally used in very small quantities, e.g. measured as a small number of drops of the essential oil in a larger quantity of an appropriate carrier oil.

Properties*:

 

Method of Extraction:

Cold expression (of the peel of the unripe fruit), or
Steam distillation (of the whole ripe crushed fruit).

Main Constituents:

limonene, pinenes, camphene, sabinene, citral, cymene, cineols, linalol.

From:

Cultivated in many places around the world, incl. Central America, Florida, Europe (Italy).
