Iridodonesis

Iridodonesis is the trembling (shaking) of the iris of the eye when the eye is moved.

(That this term concerns the iris of the eye is indicated by the prefix "irido-" which refers to the iris of the eye, also applied to other terms in this section - as listed on the left).

Iridodonesis is caused by lack of support (of the iris) by the lens, against which the iris normally lies. This may happen if the lens is absent or not in its normal location.
