Hypodermis

The Hypodermis layer is an important component of the skin (also known as the "integument", or "integumentary system").

The hypodermis layer of the skin is the layer beneath the dermis.
This is also known as the hypo-dermis, sub-cutaneous or subcutaneous layer.
