Grapeseed Oil

Grapeseed Oil is one of the most popular general carrier oils used in massage, aromatherapy, and other body-work treatments - both directly and blended with other carrier oils.

Grapeseed Oil (from Vitis vinifera) is usually extracted from grapeseeds that remain ("wasted") after the vinification and distillation stages of processing the grapes for the manufacture of wine or other similar beverages. These wasted grape seeds are then washed, dried, ground, and hot pressed.

Grapeseed oil has internal (easily digested and does not contain cholesterol) and external (as a good, general, non-greasy, carrier oil for massage and other treatments) therapeutic properties. Grapeseed oil is also used in the preparation of some skin products such as creams.
