Frontal bone

The Frontal Bone is one of the cranial bones of the head.

Location:
Forehead, extending down to form the upper surfaces of the orbits.
Anterior roof of the skull.

Function(s):
Mechanical protection of the front (anterior) part of the brain.
The shape of the frontal bone contributes to defining the shape of the head and face, and therefore the person's visual identity.
