Diaphoretic

The term diaphoretic is an alternative term meaning the same as sudorific.

In both cases, the terms diaphoretic and sudorific are used to refer to therapeutic agents (e.g. natural substances such as herbs or oils, or pharmaceutical drugs) that cause sweating.

The term "sudorific" still appears in many older texts but is gradually being replaced by the term "diaphoretic" in modern medical textbooks.
