Camphor Essential Oil

Camphor Essential Oil is one of many (scented) essential oils used in aromatherapy.
Essential oils are generally used in very small quantities, e.g. measured as a small number of drops of the essential oil in a larger quantity of an appropriate carrier oil.

Properties*:

Method of Extraction:

Steam distillation (from wood, root stumps, branches), then rectified under vacuum and filter to generate 3 fractions: white camphor, yellow camphor, brown camphor.

Main Constituents:

White Camphor: cineol, pinene, terpineol, menthol, thymol.
Yellow Camphor: safrol, sesuiterpenes, sesquiterpene alcohols.
Brown Camphor: safrol, terpineol.
