About our online Community

You may have reached this page because you had difficulty joining our online community.
If that is the case, we're sorry. We've added this page to provide further information.

Our online community is operated through Google Friend Connect and is therefore constrained by any limitations of that service. When we hear of issues that might apply to other users and potential users we'll post them here, together with solutions if possible. However, unfortunately, it may not be within our power to resolve issues listed.

We hope it helps to share information via this page. We do not provide telephone or email support about these issues.

  • 17/04/2010 - Update Re. Qu. about Google requesting mobile telephone number (Qu raised on 22/12/2009)

    - To join our community without providing a telephone number just
"Sign-in" using the twitter button, which looks like this:

After pressing this "Sign-in via Twitter" option you will need to enter either your Twitter username or the email address associated with your Twitter account. You must also enter your Twitter password.
If you don't have a Twitter account you can set one up very easily at www.Twitter.com.
You only need to provide a valid email address then confirm it by clicking on the link that they email to you immediately. Obviously you must also choose a username and a password and, with that done, you can also start to use Twitter if you wish. (If you choose to do so please follow us at www.twitter.com/IvyRoseHolistic !)
Many thanks Sweetie for sending this information.
  • 13/04/2010 - I asked a question via the "Comments" facility but the question has been removed.
    - Comments are most welcome.
    - If you would like to use this facility to ask general questions of other visitors to this website, that is also welcome. However, if you need to ask IvyRose a question to which you would like a reply please email us instead.
If you ask a specific individual question via the public "Comments" area it may be removed as that is not the intended use of this area. We may try to reply to you personally but, unfortunately, we are not always able to do so via this system (Google Friend Connect). Please re-send your question to the most appropriate email address listed on the Contact page of this website. Thank-you.
  • 24/12/2009 - My Membership seems to have been blocked. Why and what can I do ?
    - In order to maintain a family-friendly website our moderators will remove any inappropriate posts, e.g. including offensive language/terms. As one can get a bit carried away now and then, we won't necessarily block your membership for a one-off post, but possibly a last resort in cases of any persistent inappropriate entries.
    - We're keen to encourage membership but there may other situations in which we have to block a member, such as anyone trying to use a name that could mis-lead other users into thinking that his/her posts are those of the IvyRose team (e.g. by using names such as "IvyRose", "Ivy-Rose", "Webmaster", "Moderator" etc.). Any such users are blocked purely to avoid confusion and are welcome to re-join the community using their own name or nickname.
  • 22/12/2009 - I'd like to join [the IvyRose Community] but Google are asking for my mobile telephone number
    - Easy ! Sign-up via Twitter - for more information see our note added on 17/04/2010.
    - We're very sorry. We are aware of this and the problems it is causing to users who either do not have a mobile telephone, or do not want to provide their number to Google. It is not clear if everyone is being asked for this information and at the moment we are not aware of any solution to this problem, which is preventing some users from joining us. We hope that feedback will persuade Google to re-think this. In the meantime, please continue to enjoy browsing our pages even though you cannot login.
