the general medicine of children and
childhood.
Working with and treating children with injuries
or medical conditions can require special skills
and approaches. For example, there may be psychological
factors, family issues, management of disabilities,
social conditions and relationships with other organisations
such as schools and support groups. Such issues
are of course dependent on the social and geographical
situation of the patient and his/her family.
