Biology is the study of living organisms of all
types. The two main areas of biology are plant biology
and animal biology, which includes human biology.
Biology is one of the main three sciences (together
with Chemistry and Physics) taught in many UK secondary
schools. Many younger children also study biology
but may use different names for the subject, depending
on what, exactly, they are looking at. For example,
one popular area is "Nature Studies".
Biology is a very wide discipline that includes
many specific areas, including e.g. Botany, Zoology,
Marine Biology, Human Biology, and so on.
